SourceForge
Description
SourceForge.net is a centralized location for software developers to control and manage open source software development, and acts as a source code repository. SourceForge.net is hosted by VA Software and runs a version of the SourceForge software. A large number of open source projects are hosted on the site (it had reached 139,750 projects and 1,491,454 registered users as of January 2007), although it does contain many dormant or single-user projects.
SourceForge.net has offered free hosting and tools access to developers of free and open source software for several years, and has become well-known within such development communities as such.
wzdftpd project
wzdftpd depends on SourceForge.net for hosting official source code tarballs and binaries of wzdftpd. It also provides some statistics for the wzdftpd project such as the quantity of downloads and the number of people viewing the SourceForge.net project page.
When a new release of wzdftpd is made, the SourceForge.net project page needs to be updated with the latest tarballs and binaries, as well as other announcements/updates being made to the project page.
