site chratio

Description

Changes the ratio for a specified user. Setting <ratio> to 0 will give the user an unlimited ratio (in effect, the ratio for the user is disabled). An account with a ratio of 0 is called a leech account and the leech slots count for the group will be decremented. If the ratio is changed from 0 to another value, the leech slots count for the group is incremented.

site chratio <user> <ratio>

Limitations

• If you are a group administrator, you can only change the ratio for users within your own group.
• If setting the ratio to 0 (leech account), the maximum leech slots for the group cannot be exceeded or else the ratio change will fail.

Examples

site chratio julie 4

The ratio for the user julie will be set to 1:4 meaning that julie can download 4 megabytes for every megabyte they upload. If julie used to have a ratio of 0, the leech slots count for the group will be incremented (as the leech slot is no longer being used).

site chratio john 0

The user john will have an unlimited ratio. john can download an unlimited amount of data from the server, without having to upload a single byte. The leech slots count for the group will be decremented as john is now using up one of the free slots.
